We are very excited for another Great VBS program at White Oak Baptist Church, so mark your calendars and get ready for a lot of fun, July 8^th- July 12 from 6:00pm-8:30pm. “Praise” Where kids get down and lift God high. During this week of Vacation Bible School through bible stories, crafts, outside games, music and snack kids will learn to; Praise God For His Greatness, Praise God For His Authority, Praise God For His Providence, Praise God For His Power, and Praise God For His Love.

Youth Mission

The Youth will be hosting a Mission Week in August and as part of this week’s activities we will be putting together hygiene kits for the homeless like we did for Operation InAsMuch last year. We will be focusing on collections of specific items each week and hope to have a bunch of complete kits by the time August rolls around. There is a collection box in the Copy Room. This week’s items are toothpaste and travel sized hand sanitizer. Thanks for helping us with this project!

Graduate Recognition Sunday

Churchwide Mother’s Day Breakfast

The Brotherhood will host a churchwide breakfast on Sunday, May 13 at 8:30am in honor of Mother’s Day. Everyone is invited.

Caregivers

The Caregivers Ministry Team will meet this Tuesday, May 8 in the Archer Lodge Community Center, which is located across the street from the church. We will begin assembling take-out plates of good home cooking for our shut-ins at 11:00 am. After all the plates and a seasonal gift are in readiness, teams of Caregivers will deliver these meals to the homebound throughout our community. We welcome you to come join us.

Church Planning Council and Finance Meeting

Church Planning Council will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 with the Finance Meeting to follow. As a leader of a committee or ministry you are encouraged to attend the church planning council and finance meetings each month. This month we will begin working on the church budget for the 2012-2013 fiscal church year.

2nd Rebecca Murray Memorial BBQ

White Oak Baptist Church will host the 2nd Rebecca Murray Memorial BBQ
pork plate sale on April 28 from 11am to 2pm to benefit Relay for Life.
Plates will include chopped pork, slaw, green beans with potatoes,
hushpuppies, and dessert. Cost is $7 per plate. For more information or to

Morning Glory Ladies Meeting
